Glimpse

And finally a new update! This poem was actually written about 3 months ago, during my trip to Sweden, in the beginning of the flight to Stockholm (yes that makes it another mid-flight poem hehe). So yes, it's a little older update than usual since it was written in the beginning of September, but I've been too lazy to post it meanwhile (shame on me) and now it finally makes its way to my blog.

The time when I wrote it felt really wonderful, and I still remember how it felt at some moments, and the thoughts and feelings that crossed my mind and ultimately gave birth to those words. I remember looking through the window and seeing the first rays of light of the day... it was a simple yet wonderful sight that along with the moment triggered something in me and all of a sudden all
kinds of feelings were invading me, and in the end gave birth to this poem. Also amazing was the fact that those feelings came gently in a soft and soothing way, much like the gentle rays of light that were before me during that time. There was a strong feeling of change all around and to come, but at the same time that same change felt soothing and crossed me in a really calm way.
The mood was full of change floating in the air, the thought and feelings were full of change to come, yet it couldn't feel any calmer and reassuring.

Yet the most amazing thing about it is reading the poem and comparing it to the days that followed it. Then it gets just overwhelming! The verses in the poem fit so perfectly the days that followed it and represent everything that came after so well, it gets impressive beyond words!
I couldn't describe the events that followed any better if I tried to. I find it beautiful now, to read
the poem and think of how things turned out soon after. And everything makes sense, and I can't
even look at the poem with the same eyes. That makes it another one of my favourites as well, along with the trip that followed it :)

So, after this long (as usual) introduction, I present you "Glimpse":

Glimpse of infinity
It flows kindly to me
Like a dawn that never ceases
And slowly all our dreams releases

Like a sea of tenderness
Flowing with wonders without name
Gentle healing for the restless
Gentle reflection of a dream

When opposing wonders combine
As when the sea embraces the earth
With whole infinities to shine
Which to whispering dreams give birth

Like the most graceful dance of fate
It swirls all around me in Her glory
Like a soothing cascade of light
And Her own verses blessing my story

Holding the sheer magic of change
Yet calm as a sleeping sea
Like a thousand fates to rearrange
Whispering soothing words to me

A glimpse of infinity now flows
Telling me of truths with no name
And as this gentle magic glows
I know my heart won't remain the same
